The Similarities Between Nation, Family, and Human Body

A  nation, a family, and the human body have many similarities. According to a wise man, "if a nation or a family functions as a unit, they will feel each other's pain just like one whole living, breathing human body in good physical health." "If one part of the body feels pain, all the rest will feel the same." So, how do all of the body's parts register the pain that a particular part is experiencing? The brain enables this. The brain is the control center of the human body, receiving and transmitting signals to other organs via hormone secretion and the nervous system. In addition, it governs our emotions, thoughts, memory storage, and overall worldview. (Rettner, 2016).  It is an essential part of the body in the same way that a good king is the leader of a nation or a great father is the head of a family.  Every organ has various functions that ensure the well-being of the whole body; in the same way, leaders of a country, professionals in different disciplines, and all the citizens of a nation have different roles that are meant for the good of a nation.  Similarly, in a family, a father, mother, and children have different roles to play in order to have a united and healthy family.  Thus, it is evident that a nation, a family, and the human body are similar in a number of ways when working together.

To begin with, similar to a family and the human body, a nation consists of different players that must work together in harmony to meet the common goal of ensuring a healthy and developing country.  They include the leaders, teachers, and all the citizens of the country, to mention but a few (AZIZ, 2013).  The leader of a nation, either a king or president, has the responsibility of taking the country in the right direction.  A leader must be accountable and trustworthy.  The citizens of the country choose a leader by electing him/her to act on their behalf.  Thus, any leader has the responsibility of controlling the people as well as showing the nation good faith.  A leader who has the ability to govern well brings the people of a nation together, fostering peace and unity.  A teacher also plays a great role in a nation.  Teachers are endowed with the responsibility of feeding a nation's people with knowledge and preparing them for the future (Saharan & Sethi, 2009).  This helps people stay awake and prepares them for the future.  It is worth noting that all the successful and responsible people in a country, the president included, pass through the hands of a teacher who prepares them to embrace the future.  As a result, teachers play a great role in nation-building.  The people of a nation are also of great importance since without the people there is no country.  They have the responsibility of following the rules of a country in addition to helping the leaders move the country forward.  In order to increase the productivity of a country and maintain peace and unity, all the players must work together.

Similar to the body of a human being and a nation, a family is made up of different participants that must work together in order to have a  healthy and united family.  The participants in a family include a father, a mother, and children (Mayberry & Knowles, 2008).  They each have different roles and responsibilities.  To begin with, a father, just like a president, is the head of a family.  He has the responsibility of controlling the family and leading it to stay unified. Besides offering leadership, a father also provides food, shelter, clothing, and other basic necessities for the family. He contributes to his children's growth and development.  A responsible father ensures that his family lacks none of the necessities of life.  A mother also plays a great role in ensuring the family is healthy and united (Mayberry & Knowles, 2008).  The first responsibility of a mother is feeding her family.  That is essential in that it helps the children stay alive.  A mother, just like a professional teacher, is the first teacher and mentor to her kids.  She teaches them how to cook, clean, keep the house, and do laundry, among other things.   A mother is the emotional backbone to her family and provides the holding place for the feelings of every member of the family.  Children are the third part of the family.  They have the responsibility of helping their parents with their daily chores.  For the family to be peaceful and united, children must follow the advice given by the parents.  They have parents for role models, and thus they need to follow in their footsteps to become responsible adults.

In a similar way to the nation and a family, the human body is made of various organs.  For the body to function normally, all the body parts must work together harmoniously. These organs include the brain, the heart, and other body parts.  The brain functions similarly to a father in a family or a nation's leader.  It is the central controller of the body. It is a marvelous body part that controls all functions of the body (Mayfieldclinic, 2020).  It also guides all the parts of the body.  The human brain governs emotions, creativity, intelligence, and memory.  It also controls movement and speech.  The heart is another crucial organ.  It feeds blood throughout the body.  Blood carries the essential nutrients required for the body to stay active (Lewis, 2016).  Thus, it is clear that the heart has functions similar to a mother in a family and a teacher who feeds citizens with information.  Other body parts include the legs, nose, hands, and eyes, which are similar to the people of a nation or children in a family.  They help and follow the brain and the heart in the normal functioning of the body.  For instance, the nose inhales oxygen that is required by the body.  The heart pumps oxygenated blood to all parts of the body.  The legs, with the guidance of the brain, carry the other parts of the body in the right direction.

In conclusion, a nation, a family, and a human body have so many things in common.  A country's leader, a father, and the brain function in a similar way.  They control, guide, and lead to the right directions all the other organs.  A teacher, a mother, and the heart of a human being share the same function of feeding.  A teacher feeds the people of a nation with information and knowledge; a mother feeds her family with food to stay alive, and the heart feeds all the organs of the blood rich in oxygen and nutrients.  People of a nation, children in a family, and the other body parts all have a function of helping the major organs in addition to following them.  For instance, people of a nation help their leaders move the country forward and follow laws.  Children help their parents with their chores, and other body parts follow the brain and help the heart to function normally.  Thus, I can state without fear of contradiction that a nation, a family, and the human body are similar in many ways.
